"I have to be the luckiest person in the world. Last July I was diagnosed with stage IV follicular Lymphoma. But with the help of my amazing family and friends, a smart doctor and the angels (nurses) in the chemo room, and literally thousands of prayers from around the world, I made it through some pretty aggressive chemo and now there are no signs of the cancer - 100% remission! To top it off, I am marrying the kindest man I've ever known - he is a gift from God and an answer to my prayers." ~ Dianne Pavia We are so grateful for the love and support of all our friends as we fought this disease. To celebrate life and love, we are excited to combine our wedding on September 19 with the Light the Night walk on September 20. The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide walk to raise awareness and funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Although research is responsible for increasing survival rates for these diseases, the battle is far from over. Did you know that: - Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer
- Every ten minutes, someone loses the fight.
- Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers.
We hope you will join us - you can register online now by clicking on Team I Do below. Then you can set a personal fundraising goal and have fun between now and September 20 reaching out to family and friends to ask for their partnership in meeting your goal and, just maybe, helping to find a cure!!
