Team Friends of Heroes is comprised of dedicated walkers and Affiliate teams throughout the US and Canada. Formerly named Friends of Allie, the team formed after the diagnosis of Allie Scott, an 8 month old baby from Allen, TX who passed away from acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in September 2004. Since then, Friends of Heroes has grown dramatically and welcomes several affiliate teams from across North America.

Friends of Heroes Affiliate Teams are teams honoring a personal hero or may walk as corporate teams. By pooling our Light The Night fundraising money, we join forces to achieve a pediatric research grant naming with the mission of eradicating blood cancer. Friends of Heroes and affiliates actively fundraise with a passion and focus towards eradicating pediatric blood cancers. We strive to incorporate honored children at each walksite - local children who are either currently undergoing treatment, in remission, or have passed away from a blood cancer.

In three years, Friends of Heroes has raised over $925,000 with the support of our dedicated walkers and affiliate teams. THANK YOU to all who support us - our walkers, sponsors, and Affiliate Teams!
